When you believe you have removed or cut away most of the grout stop and examine your work.
Removing and replacing tile from walls.
Remove outlet covers and cut the electricity to the area where you will be removing the tiles.
Fit the oscillating tool with a blade specially intended for removing tile grout.
Tiles installed with thinset or another tile adhesive often require more work to remove them.
Carefully use the hammer and putty knife to chisel off the tiles without gouging the drywall.
This will further loosen the tile reducing the chances of you damaging the drywall behind it when you start removing the tile from the wall.
Always wear safety glasses when removing ceramic tile.
Remove and replace grout even the best tiling jobs show their age eventually.
Score the 1st tile you plan on starting with using the grout cutter.

In some cases the only way to tear out the ceramic tile is with heavy equipment such as a jackhammer or air chisel.
Then make and x motion within the tile with the tile cutter.
Start by holding the tool horizontally or vertically in the case of vertical seams turning on the power and lightly pressing the blade to the grout.
Then use a utility knife or rotary grinder to scrape away the grout until the spacer lugs between the tiles are visible.
To remove wall tiles start by heating up the grout between the tiles with a blow dryer so it s easier to remove.
Cut away the grout surrounding the tile or tiles that you want to remove.
Once you have removed the tiles you will see there is an adhesive beneath that is either rock hard or semi soft.
So in this video i will show you the part 1 where i removed the bathroom tiles.
Next use a chisel and hammer to pry the tiles off of the wall.
Be careful to cut away only the grout and not into the wall.
Work slowly and at about a 45 degree angle.
You should be able to slide a putty or plaster knife underneath the tile.
