Shallow scratches can often be buffed out. Run your fingernail across the scratch. Firmly press the area with your fingers to rub out the scratches. Clean the plastic surface to remove any dirt or debris.

Removing all the dirt and debris will help you get a smooth finish and stop dirt from melting into the plastic which could affect the colour. Take a clean damp cloth and dip it into some warm soapy water. Press a grain pad to the plastic with the palm of you hand. Gently rub it in a circular motion all around the scratch. Make sure the area is clean and dry before you move on to the next step. If the area is made of smooth plastic then lightly sand the area with 2000 grit sandpaper. Make sure you do not overheat the plastic as you will burn it.

Clean the area on and around the scratch with interior plastic cleaner. Using a heat gun put the heat to about half and warm the scratched surface until it is soft and mushy.
