I have the 51 plate renault megane convertible with the ide engine. Refill the the reservoir halfords do the hydrolic fluid for them then you need to re set the roof mecanism after opening and closeing. My problem is that the rear cover opens and roof goes up. I also switched off ignition midway through opening and as said earlier a complete no no.

Just had the same problem with mine here s what the problem was the hydrolic fluid had gone bellow the min level indicator because of a slight leak to the ram the reservoir is located in the back n s boot.
