Renault Megane Doors Will Not Lock

I can hear the electric lock operate on the rear door when the central locking key is pressed.

Hi all i have recently purchased a megane mkii dynamique 16v on an 03 plate with the card key ignition. When you lock the car which you can do with the buttons on the keycard the buttons on the handles if they still work they were a bit intermittent on my 2003 mégane or the black button in the centre of the renault diamond on the boot lid you have about 3 seconds to check that the doors are locked by pulling on the handles. Unfortunately the childproof tab was in operation when this fault started so the door is immovable. Other doors bootlock and fuel filler cover locks all work fine.

Yesterday whilst showing my friend around it i noticed that the central locking wasn t working it is so silent but we ll get to that later in the text but i can just about hear what seems to be a combined lock unlock action from the drivers door however the boot is locking and.
