Sweep the area free of dirt and debris using a push broom. Take extra care to get the membrane clean and free of any soap scum or oiliness. Use a 3 inch paint roller to apply rubber to rubber contact cement to one half of the outlined repair area and to one half of the underside of the rubber patch. Apply a thick even coat of edpm primer to the area using a paintbrush.

The installer did not install new edge flashing that had the pvc material attached at the factory. Wait about 10 minutes for the cement to dry. Clean the area thoroughly with rags. Lift off the patch and brush membrane cleaner over the outlined repair area on the roof and onto the underside of the rubber patch.

Ensure that it extends 2 inches beyond. If you caulk it it will have to be re caulked. Make sure to roll patch in place so that adhesive grips the membrane. Make sure the primer extends beyond all edges of where the patch will go.
